PLANNING A PULSE GENERATOR

I want to go a little further, and have to make a PULSE GENERATOR.

This is an A-stable Multivibrator with NE555.

C  = 5 Nf
R1 = 22 kOhm
R2 =   5 kOhm

I will make R1 VARIABLE, so I cane adjust the frequency. R1 at MAX = very slow speed

VCC = 5 to 15 Volt plus

As you see, the output from the generator is square form.
This signal I have to boost to some level of power, about 1 Amp. true the coil L, and for that I
use a STANDARD POWER transistor, 2N3055.

Rg = 100 Ohm
l    = Solenoid
Vdd = 6 - 12 Volt
( about 1 Amp )

I don't want to kill the transistor, so I mount it on a cooling-device.
The transistor can run away by overheating and self-oscillation.
I also use a homemade variable power supply with current limiter set to 1 Amp.

Frequensy = 52 Hz.

I must try to do it better.

My next step will be making this, or something like this: ( Draw by EAGLE )

To begin with, I will feed it from a variable supply so I can adjust it to about 1 Amp. current true the coils, so depending on the coils, I would reduce the volt and raise it until i have 1 Amp. flooding true both the coils. The 12 Volt regulator may have to end up to be a 24 Volt regulator, but is easily to change.
